Apparently I'm way behind the pack and have more reading to do on it, but if Syrio is a Faceless Man, then he might have been captured by Trant and thrown in the black cells. Suddenly all sorts of things came together in my mind about Syrio=FM. Maybe Jaqen killed the original Syrio and became First Sword by wearing the dead man's face? Something else worth noting, if Syrio was the First Sword in Braavos, why was he in Westeros teaching a little girl how to water dance? Syrio told Arya the last First Sword was killed and that was how he became First Sword. While that isn't proof, it is definitely a point that suggests he could be a FM and the idea can't be discounted because he is in Westeros in the beginning. Syrio asks Arya if she believes in the gods, and Arya replies "The old and the new." Syrio replies "There is only one god, and his name is Death." Syrio is from Braavos, FM headquarters. Was just rewatching s1 ep 6 and noticed something that escaped my attention before. It doesn't make sense for a Faceless Man to be happy to watch someone leave with all their secrets and abilities, unless it serves a purpose. While I have been in the forums I have seen lots of theories of why some characters are still alive however I haven´t found any about this Character Syrio Forel I am fond of him because he is really awesome and since the faceless men where introduced I just though and what if Syrio is the guy we know as Jaquen or Ser Meryn I even considered Ser Mandon Moore for his attempt of killing tyrion however I still have the doubt what happened to Syrio? Jaqen is smiling as he watches Arya leave at the end of No One. But the way Arya was stabbed should have been immediately fatal to her but she survived somehow by diving into water. Talisa was killed when she was stabbed in the abdomen while she was pregnant. How did Arya Stark survive being stabbed? Perhaps the Lord of Light and the God of Death are exactly the same thing, a deity of both life and death, more concerned with balance than mass extinction. A girl couldn't help but remain Arya Stark.īut Arya Stark, disciple of the God of Death, was chosen to kill the Night King, the physical embodiment of death. In season 6 of Game of Thrones, the Waif is ordered to kill Arya after she refuses to follow Jaqen H'gar's orders for the last time. The combination of "Arya Stark" and "stomach wounds" should ring a bell. The Faceless person who wears H'ghar's face is cruel and unrelenting and tortures Arya for two seasons as she practices the ways of the many-faced god. Jaquen H'ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) is an assumed identity of one of the Faceless Men. Here's the two reasons why I believe that Arya is “No One” even though she hasn't realized it yet: She is still wearing the faces after leaving.Ĥ3. Jaqen, after Arya refused to kill Lady Crane and instead killed the Waif, told her that she was finally “No One”, to which Arya replied that she was Arya Stark of Winterfell. While she is blind, Arya wears the guise of "Beth", a beggar girl. She still struggles with leaving her identity as Arya Stark behind. She continues to dream through the eyes of her direwolf, Nymeria, but speaks of it to no one. The blindness is induced by the milk she drinks every night. However, the Waif failed, and thus Arya is still holding onto her emotions and will never really be a Faceless Man. During The Game of Faces, the Waif says she was the daughter of a widowed lord in Westeros who remarried and produced another daughter. It's possible that the Waif is at least a little jealous of Arya. Jaqen congratulates her on this, saying that by her acknowledging this- she has become no one. Arya comes to the conclusion that she isn't going to attempt to become "no one", and that she would rather hold onto her personality than become a faceless man.
